CENTER FOR RHEUMATIC DISEASES, PUNE
CRD was set up as a research facility in 1996, by a single rheumatologist in close proximity to his growing practice with a 3 fold aim: collect community data ,measure disease burden and explore Ayurveda-Modern medicine interface for better therapy solutions. CRD is a principle clinical co-ordination center for the CSIR, GOI, NMITLI arthritis project 2002-2006 involving several national research facilities such as Pune university, AIIMS(Delhi), RRL(Jammu), NBR(Lucknow) etc. CRD is recognized as a research institute by the Pune university and a 'SIRO' by the DSIR, GOI

SOUTH ASIAN COCHRANE NETWORK (SACN), VELLOR

The South Asian Cochrane Center is located at the Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, Tamil Nadu. The Center is hosted at the Prof. B V Moses and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Advanced Center for Research and Training in Evidence-Informed Health Care in the Bagayam campus of CMC Vellore. The South Asian Cochrane Center is an independent Center of The Cochrane Collaboration. The SACN has 5 other network sites in India ,2 in Pakistan and one each in Srilanka and Bangladesh. Each site contributes to and supports the activities of the Network.
